When Worlds Collide!
(or, when two therapists have their own kids and realize something is missing…)
Our story is one of colliding worlds: as therapists (SLP & PT) we pair purposeful play with milestones that we address with our clients, and we understand the benefit of doing so; as mothers we longed for a resource that did the same in a practical format that we actually had time for. We were also troubled by a growing trend focused on “academic” activities for infants and toddlers. After years of answering questions from friends wondering when to expect milestones and how to encourage them along, we decided to fill a gap we saw in the early learning world and Milestones & Miracles, LLC and 1-2-3 Just Play With Me were created.

I am a graduate of West Virginia University with a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy. I am a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and its pediatric section. My specialty areas of continuing education and practice include aquatics, therapeutic riding, cortical visual impairment, neurologic pediatric conditions, and sensory processing disorder. As a licensed PT currently practicing in early intervention, I am proud to be working in my home state of West Virginia (Go Mountaineers!). I am also Mommy to two children who teach me more than I could ever teach them, wife to my very own prince charming, a member of a huge, fun, family that make me belly laugh. I am amazed that I get to teach, through play, some of the most inspiring children and parents around.

I obtained my Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from West Virginia University, and I am a licensed SLP working in my home (sweet home) state of West Virginia. As a certified member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, I currently enjoy learning more about childhood apraxia of speech, articulation disorders, autism spectrum disorders and sign language through my continuing education. I am also Mommy to three kids who fill my life with more joy than I could have ever imagined. I am married to a wonderful man who brings much needed balance to my life. I am happiest spending time with my large family and close friends. I feel incredibly fortunate to work with amazing children every day who inspire me beyond measure.
We are not just a team of two. We are a family run business in the fullest sense! We are hands on with all we do – we ship orders, respond to emails, and book our own conferences. Our husbands and kids pitch in too – when we say “family run business” we actually mean it because it takes us all to make this work.
As we grow, we love learning and sharing ways to make our professional and personal lives more purposeful and rich. We hope you will share your journey with us, too, at our blog, by email: milestonesandmiracles@gmail.com or on social media.
